When the temperature climbs, the 13,500 Btu cooling capacity gets the cabin feeling comfortable again. Large coils and airflow-boosting fins pull heat out efficiently so you can feel the air shift within minutes. With 320 CFM of airflow and R32 refrigerant that meets 2025 EPA regulations, it keeps things cool without working overtime.
No need to hunt for compatible parts or fight through guesswork. The rooftop unit and air distribution box are built to work together, giving you a complete system that installs cleanly into a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" roof opening. Whether you’re replacing an older Dometic or Coleman-Mach setup, this matched kit makes it easier to get everything connected and running right away.
The air distribution box puts full control within reach. Simple knobs let you adjust fan speed and cooling directly at the ceiling, while front and rear dampers direct airflow where it’s needed most. When the filters need attention, the pop-out grilles make cleaning quick—just remove, rinse, and snap back in place.
When it’s too cool for comfort but not cold enough for the furnace, this system’s heat-ready design has you covered. It’s prepped for an optional 5,600 Btu heat strip (sold separately), giving you an easy way to take off the morning chill without extra gear or complicated wiring.
All-copper tubing with gas-flux brazed joints helps it stay sealed and reliable season after season. The medium-profile rooftop unit measures 38" long x 28-1/16" wide x 13-13/16" tall and weighs 79.5 lbs, keeping weight balanced while still covering older ceiling imprints for a clean look. It’s a solid upgrade that keeps comfort simple trip after trip.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 13,500 BTU RV air conditioner system with a textured white cover. Now, as you probably know, one of the biggest headaches in RV repairs is figuring out which parts are compatible. Well, this kit's gonna help take that off of your plate. This rooftop unit comes with this air distribution box and they're designed to work together, so installation's going to be a whole lot smoother and nothing should catch you off-guard.
Whether you're doing the install yourself or you're paying someone else to do it, having everything designed as a set that works together is gonna make your job faster, cleaner, and less stressful. This is made for RVs without ducted air, so it's gonna be perfect if you're replacing an old setup or if you're adding a second unit to cool a separate space. And with 13,500 BTUs of cooling power, you're gonna feel the temperature shift within minutes, not hours. Inside the unit are large coils and airflow-boosting fins that are gonna help pull heat out efficiently, so your RV's gonna stay cooler with less strain on the system. And you're gonna walk in, and that air's gonna feel nice and dry and cool and breathable.
And you're gonna get a good night's sleep as well, because that air is gonna be very comfortable. So, looking at the overall measurements of our unit, the overall length from end to end is about 39" long. The overall width is about 26" wide, and then the overall height is gonna be right at about 13 1/2" tall, so this is considered a mid-profile air conditioner. This is going to work with opening sizes on your roof that are 14 1/4" long by 14 1/4" wide, and this weighs about 75 pounds or so. And then, giving you a closer look here on this side of the table, this does include this air distribution box that's going to give you full control right at ceiling level with the simple knobs, here, so you're not gonna have to worry about thermostats or digging around for remotes or climbing over furniture or anything like that.
You're gonna be able to direct the air flow as well where you need it with these levers, here, or these knobs. You've got your fan control knob, you've got your temperature control knob, here. And then, we also have these pop-out grilles here that are going to allow you to wash out the air filters. The air filters are reusable. So, everything that you need to get set up inside and get that air directed where you want it in that space.
Now, looking at the measurements of our air distribution box, the overall width is sitting pretty close to 20 3/4". The overall length is going to be about 21 3/4". And this is going to hang down from your ceiling about 2", 2 1/2" or so, so it's not gonna take up a whole lot of head space. Now, this unit is not going to be backwards-compatible with any AC system from 2024 and earlier due to the new R-32 refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA regulations. This does use the new R-32 refrigerant. That's why this kit is good, because everything's designed to work together. It's gonna work with the R-32 refrigerant. But if you have any other components that currently, that are not compliant with the R-32 refrigerant, this will not be backwards-compatible with that, just so you're aware of that. Now, sometimes it's not cold enough to actually kick on your furnace, but it might be just a little bit chilly and you need something to take the edge off of that cool air. So, you can pick up a heat strip for this unit separately. And that's just gonna be a simple way, as I mentioned, to take the edge off of those cool mornings, but it's not cold enough to kick on your furnace. So, if you're interested in checking out that heat strip on your screen, I am including the item number, there. You can just take the item number and pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that heat strip and you can add that to your order. It's gonna be a pretty simple install in this unit. Now, if you happen to have any other additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. For instance, we do have this kit available with a 15,000 BTU unit instead of this 13,500. So, if you have any other additional questions, we wanna make sure that we've answered them and you get exactly what you want. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Product arrived in 2 shipments. Upon arrival checked for damage. None noticed. Upon removal from box found small crack in cover at bottom not far from screw attachment. Most likely from shipping. This was cosmetic and would not effect function of unit. Installed unit wired and tested. Temperature reached 67 degrees in rv in about 4 hours. Much better than the 98 degrees prior to installation.
I’ve ordered many things from trailer and they have never let me down. Easy to order, fast shipping, right on time. Actually, it arrived a day early. Nice surprise.
Just got this Coleman-Mach 3 RV AC 13.5K BTU roof air conditioner installed this morning. Replaced a 16 year old non-functioning 15K Coleman. Works fine cooling a 1999 Avion 5V 38ft. 5th wheel. Single air with ducted system. Dual pane glass windows and super thick insulation. Unit is located at 7800 ft of elevation in the White Mountains of AZ. It will perform nicely in these conditions. Easy to operate rotary digital thermostat got rewired at the same location as the old switch and slide control unit. Running nicely. Thank You Will at trailer for a very smooth transaction and fast delivery! Great mobile techs did a super clean and efficient install. Shoutout to David's RV Service out of Lakeside AZ.
